The page that you linked appeared to have been last updated with notes on Google Chrome almost two years ago when Chrome was still in beta. Did you try the method explained in this blog entry? If your operating system's colour management is properly configured, you should see that the browser is colour space aware. That said, some people have reported Chrome interpreting colour differently than Firefox and Photoshop even when the -enable-monitor-profile switch is used.

Doesn't work. Just try http://www.gballard.net/psd/go_live_page_profile/embeddedJPEGprofiles.html and you will find chrome with --enable-monitor-profile parameter is definitely an unmanaged browser.

Which other colour-managed programs are you using for your comparisons?

It may also be worth noting that newer versions of Firefox have colour management enabled by default and there are now two non-non-colour-managed (yup, two "non's") colour handling modes. One of these modes will translate even non-tagged images to the destination colour space and the other method will translate only tagged images to the destination colour space but leave the untagged images untranslated which I means it will just assume that untagged photos are in the colour space of the monitor. If you are comparing to colour reproduction of Chrome to that of Firefox and you are using a combination of tagged and untagged images my guess is that that may be one of the sources of differences.

Colour management doesn't appear to be perfect in Chrome... or rather, colours are better than non-colour-managed Chrome but different than other colour-managed applications. Remind me to look back into this, hahah.

Thanks for commenting. =) The Technikardan has long since sold to Corey Thompson of http://yellowjacketphotography.com/. I am currently in Los Angeles and was told of a major camera fair in Pasadena which I intend to attend tomorrow. Was promised some amazing deals on used Leica and large format stuff. If you need something please e-mail back or phone my California number for fastest response: 310.774.6687. I just picked up a Nikkor-SW 65/4 4x5 lens with acceptable coverage for under $390. =)

Hi there. I really admire your photography abilities. I came across your site through 305designs.com through a book called "Web Design Index By Content 03". Just thought I'd let you know how I found you. I have really wanted to get into photography but don't know where to start. I have a Canon Rebel XT 6.0MP with a 20 - 135 lens I believe. Your stuff is inspirational, what can you suggest?
